Backtagging – I’ll backtag forever so long as there’s interest and steady pace
Threadhopping – Send a PM first. If everyone’s fine with it, go for it.
Breaking the 4th Wall – If the thread permits it, sure. Inner-monologue references are fine.
Dropping Threads – I’ll only drop if we seriously clash as players or there are long unannounced breaks.
Offensive Subjects – No triggers or hard no’s. Just keep it tactful. PM me if you have a question or comment.
Brackets/Prose – Comfortable with both and will match whichever’s preferred.
Tense – Past tense for prose and present tense for brackets but can easily switch.
Meme Continuity – If we both want to, sure. PM me if I forget something.
Spoilers – Drop them as you will; I’ll let you know ahead of time if I don’t want one.
Cross-Canon – Very yes and probably a necessity with this guy.
Cross-Media – Very yes. RL, books, movies, tv-shows, comics, have at it.
AUs – Very yes and probably another necessity with this guy. His universe, your character’s universe, or a separate universe altogether.
Violence/Fighting – Love it, detail it, go for it, but keep in mind the IC relationships and reactions from it. Violence threads work at a give-and-take level unless we agree on a curbstomp beforehand. Fight threads can decide winner/loser oocly or just let it go naturally.
Physical Affection/Smut – Love it, detail it, go for it, but keep in mind the IC relationships and reactions from it. I never fade to black unless you tell me your preference to beforehand or there are pressing circumstances.
Kinks – My kink-list is here. Diego’s kinks are interpreted via his characters and the setting, but player kinks take precedence. Some "no" items are negotiable. Feel free to PM me with questions.

Touching – Go for it. Friends can clap Diego on the shoulder, get a fist bump, high five, or handshake from him, even do one of those one-armed shoulder embraces to congratulate him or tease him. He’ll accept it if he’s in a good mood but might "hmph" at it if he’s grouchy. Close friends can even give him massages or treat his injuries, but that’ll take some good trust and usually only in private. A stranger might be able to get away with patting his shoulder from out of nowhere, though expect him to shrug, brush, or knock it off in guarded annoyance. An enemy, however, is going to get dodged, punched, and kicked for trying to touch him, since he’ll see it as an aggressive motion. Normally Diego won’t do much more beyond that, but if you keep pestering him, he’s got no problem putting you down for the count.
Hugging – Be warned. Similar to the above. Friends can get away with hugging Diego, though expect him to be embarrassed about it. He’ll offer one back (or at least some supportive touch) if a friend is really suffering and needs the comfort though, so that’s something. He also has a soft spot for kids, so even if it embarrasses him, he’ll give them a quick hug if they really need it. However, hugs need to be in private; he’ll duck out of or deflect one attempted in public. Strangers and enemies? Just don’t. If Diego doesn’t know you or is antagonistic towards you, trying to embrace him is asking him to attack you. And he will. Hard.
Kissing – Be warned. Diego doesn’t kiss people unless he’s in a relationship with someone or doing something sexual. Friends can probably get away with stealing a kiss on his cheek or forehead but expect an annoyed grimace as he tugs his head away and growls or snaps at you for your teasing efforts. Like hugging, Diego prefers kissing to happen in private, since he’d rather not do something that intimate/vulnerable out in view of others. Strangers or enemies trying to kiss him are going to get some bony part of his body to their face and probably a busted lip or broken teeth. That’s just insulting and disgusting.
Flirting – Go for it. Diego knows what flirting is, but most of his experience comes from mocking teases and sleazy invites for prostitution. He’s not dense about it, but since he’s mostly wrapped up in the seedy back alleys fights of New York with the rest of the tough crowd of scrappers, don’t expect him to really buy into all that flirty kind of junk. Tell him what you want or give him a compliment and he’ll at least take you seriously enough to consider it. Trying to wind him around your finger with flattering words and innuendos will just get him annoyed. That said, playful flirting from a friend or sexual partner will probably get some teasing back, though Diego’s still not that great a flirt since he’s not been exposed to much beyond the crass, stupid stuff.

Fighting – Go for it. Fighting is a huge part of Diego’s life. He participates in New York’s street fighting circuits to make money to support his mother and pay for her hospital bills. Also, considering the scars on Diego’s body, he’s experienced plenty of violence growing up in the slums of New York. Thus, he puts an extremely high importance on being able to fight at a moment’s notice, because a street fight could pop up anywhere and he could be required to defend himself just as quickly. Being a street scrapper, Diego doesn’t have a set martial art or style. He relies instead on self-taught street fighting that utilizes brute strength, hard blows, grapples, and a mixture of tanking or evading blows. Technically unskilled, he’s very strong and capable in a fight. Diego was able to not only become the uncrowned king of the New York fighting scene, but also make it to the final round in the famous Dead or Alive tournament, a martial arts competition which brings together fighters from all over the world. He was personally sought out by a tournament organizer due to the rumors of his strength, so he’s not going down in a brawl quickly. Keep in mind, Diego is only human, and he doesn’t actively go around actively picking fights. Cash, pride, and self-defense are his main motivators to fight.
Injuring – Go for it. Similar to fighting, Diego knows all about injuries and pain. He has several scars on his body, plenty of them noticeably large and situated around vital areas on his body, namely his heart and his eye. All of them appear long and straight, presumably made from slash wounds and knife stab injuries. The cutmarks on his arms and legs suggest he used his limbs to block his attacker’s attempts to stab him in more vital places, showing he’s not afraid to sacrifice one part of himself to protect another. His occupation as a street fighter obviously demands he be able to weather a lot of pain and regularly so. That said, feel free to serve him up minor injuries. Cuts, bruises, burns, sprains, minor stabs, aren’t going to slow him down any; he’ll fight till it’s over and tend to himself afterwards. Send a PM first before giving him major injuries. Broken bones, torn muscles, ruptured organs, lacerations and deep stabs, will put him down hard and require treatment.
Killing – Unlikely. Despite his rough exterior, Diego’s still a bruiser with a good heart. He won’t kill anyone unless he has no choice in the matter (one of those “you or me” self-defense situations), and even that will be regretful and only as the utter last option. However, he’s not inexperienced with death and has seen people claimed by murder, fatal violence, accidental manslaughter, illness, and old age. Death is a part of life, but he doesn’t like it, seen in his willingness to fight in the streets for the money to save his mother from her illness. If he comes across a potential death, he’ll do his best to prevent it if possible. But he’s not such a saint that he’ll sacrifice himself for someone he isn’t closely connected to. That said, Diego will put his life on the line for his mother or for children if they’re threatened.
Mind Reading – Go for it. Psychic abilities aren’t much a thing in Diego’s world. There are plenty of charlatans claiming to read minds and tell futures and other such things, but none of them have any truth to them. Still, if you have the power, feel free to look inside his brain; he won’t realize anyone’s reading his mind unless it’s made completely obvious or someone tells him it’s happening. Expect him to scoff at the notion though and think you’re insane. However, if you prove it to him, he’s going to react in either shocked awe or, if he’s in a bad mood, a growling warning to get out of his head. Once he calms down though, he’ll end up wavering between thinking the ability’s cool and thinking it’s a big “cheat” in a fight. (And might wind up thinking about inviting you to a gambling joint…)
Non-Human Beings – Go for it. There are a few non-human beings in Diego’s world, mostly scientific experiments intermixed with ninja magic resulting in cyborg-like creations. However, science has also brought back a few extinct species, including dinosaurs that are found in laboratories and contained areas. Finally, there are some mythical beings like the giant squids protecting wrecked pirate ships, Japanese demons the ninjas often deal with, and a race of tengu that occasionally cause trouble in the human realm. Diego personally hasn’t experienced any of these, so were he to encounter a non-human being, he’ll be shocked and skeptical at first, before eventually curious and amazed. Striking up a relationship with non-human creatures can happen, both personal friendships and sexual encounters.
Warnings – Some. Diego comes from a rough background and can come across as aggressive, rude, and distant. But despite his scarred and tough looks, he’s not particularly dangerous unless you provoke him. However, there are three big warnings for him.
1) ~ Diego loves his mother dearly and sacrifices a lot to keep supporting her. His mother’s safety and comfort are his top cares in the world. He does not tolerate anyone mocking her or using her to get to him. A ridiculer only gets one heavy warning to stop before he’ll attempt to physically shut them up with a brutal beat down.
2) ~ Diego’s very protective of the kids who hang around him. Doing something bad to a child is going to invoke his wrath. If someone messes with a kid in a bad way, he’ll immediately step in and knock the other person down without warning. However, he’s respectful enough to not get involved in family issues unless there’s abuse going on.
3) ~ Diego was gang-raped at knifepoint when he was 18. Due to the experience, he developed an aversion towards knives, particularly when it comes to sex. He’s wary if someone flashes one out in the open but bringing a knife into the bedroom is a surefire way to get him up and gone. Don’t even joke about knife play during sex.
